La Barra de la Abuela
When we talk about skin care and taking care of the planet, you shouldn’t have to make sacrifices. Each of our soap bars has been carefully formulated with your skins’ needs in mind. You get a nourishing, gentle, and fun bar every member of your family can enjoy while reducing your plastic waste. Each bar is wrapped in a biodegradable and compostable glassine bag, we do our part by using packing materials you can reuse, recycle, or that are degradable or compostable.
La Barra de la Abuela is part of our Dehoja Natural-Naked soap collection. These all-natural bars are made from a traditional soap that has been around for thousands of years, lard soap. Like grandma used to make, hence the name. They are gentle enough for all skin types, and have been properly cured for over two months.
Lard, goat milk, lye, agave, colloidal oatmeal, chamomile powder, rolled oats
Good for: sensitive, dry, normal, mixed, and/or oily skin types
*For external use only.
Dehoja Natural soaps are naturally colored with clays, herbs, and spices; scented with essential oils or naked without added fragrance.
Saponified soaps need between 4-8 weeks of rest after they are made. During this time the soap bars loose weight, get harder and milder, and they finish their crystalline structure. This means that during these weeks they develop better bubbles, last longer in the shower, and get gentler on the skin. In other words, soap is like wine, it gets better with time.
Each bar is hand pour and hand-cut, shapes and sizes might vary.
